Maria Baryamujura, Executive Director, is an Ashoka Fellow, leader in the tourism industry, and a champion for community tourism in Uganda. She serves on several Boards, consults with tourism organizations, and is passionate about developing homestead tourism.

~ Export Bulletin, a publication of the Uganda Export Promotion Board, highlighted Maria Baryamujura's work on September 17, 2011 under the theme Women in Export Business.

~ Maria Baryamujura was the Face of Flair Magazine’s June 2011 edition which profiled her work in local tourism development in Uganda.

~ Since the launch of the Bombo Village Tourism Initiative, the community has hosted a number of visitors including HRH The Nnabagereka of Buganda,Sylvia Naginda, 40 French tourists and news crew from NTV.

~ COBATI launches the Bombo Village Tourism Initiative.
